Meet Dan Murray and the Bobb Brothers Charlie and John!
As longtime friends and Santa Clara residents they collaborated their ideas for several years, creating a vision of opening a small produce market in their Santa Clara neighborhood in North Eugene, a place they all called HOME since 1980.
They wanted to create a place for customers to shop that had a sense of community and neighborhood vibe. A shopping experience to make you feel at home and ensure you leave a happy customer! Incorporating old school customer service, friendly greetings, knowledgable staff, carry out service, and offering quality items at a good value. A place you could walk to, ride your bike, walk your dog to, or drive . A place to feel very comfortable shopping at without stress. A place to give an outlet for farmers who do not have a retail market to sell their fruits and vegetables.
The property at 3825 River Road came available for sale. A Century old farmhouse built in 1910 with an abandoned fruit stand building behind the house, that used to be in operation during the 70’s ,80’s, 90’s. The property was in much disrepair, but they could see through it and see a diamond in the rough! And boy was it rough!
Through much hard work and perseverance, the property was purchased , restored and Your Santa Clara Farm Stand opened in June of 2020.
Dan shares his 50+ years experience of produce knowledge and his network of Pacific NW farm relationships he has acquired over the years. Also, during the last 40 years he has provided the highest quality fruits and vegetables to the Food Vendors at the Oregon Country Fair. Some customers have referred to him as “The Produce Whisperer”
Charlie has a lot of experience in Retail and The Natural Food Industry. In addition Charlie and his brother John, have helped Dan with Produce sales at the Oregon Country Fair for 25 years.
John began his career at the Register Guard, working his way up to Assistant Press Foreman, making a great career for 29 years.
